Voodoo Back In New Orleans For One Night
Voodoo Music Experience to New Orleans for tribute show.

NEW ORLEANS, LA  [Tuesday Oct.18.2005]  /WMQT.com/ -- The Voodoo Music Experience is returning to New Orleans for one night to pay tribute to those working to recover and rebuild the city after Hurricane Katrina.

The October 29th concert takes place in New Orleans at Riverview Park and will be an invite-only show to acknowledge and thank local police, firefighters, National Guard, military, and other aid workers.

The following night, October 30th, the Voodoo Music Experience comes to AutoZone Park in Memphis, Tennessee.

Among the artists who are donating their performances at this year's event are: Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, The Neville Brothers, Dr. John, Better than Ezra, New York Dolls, North Mississippi All Stars, Cake, Digable Planets, The Decemberists, Secret Machines, The Bravery, Sevendust, Mindless Self Indulgence, LCD Soundsystem, and VHS or Beta.

Tickets for the October 30th Memphis show are available through Ticketmaster and www.VoodooMusicFest.com. Current ticket holders are asked to visit www.VoodooMusicFest.com for important details regarding their tickets.

Proceeds from the Voodoo Music Experience will benefit the New Orleans Restoration Fund (NORF), Mercy Corps, Habitat for Humanity, Bring New Orleans Back, WWOZ, 90.7 - New Orleans Roots Radio, and YA/YA, Inc. (Young Aspirations/Young Artists).
