LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Oct.19.2005]  /WMQT.com/ -- Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige and Velvet Revolver are among the artists featured on a new benefit single to raise money for hurricane and tsunami recovery efforts.

"Tears in Heaven" was released yesterday (October 18th) and is available for download exclusively at iTunes.

An all-star choir gathered together in London and Los Angeles earlier this year to record this special cover version of the Eric Clapton song. Besides Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige and Scott Weiland, other artists adding vocals to "Tears In Heaven" include Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, and Kelly Osbourne. Velvet Revolver played the music on the track.

One hundred percent of the purchase price of the "Tears in Heaven" download single will be donated to Save the Children for Gulf Coast hurricane and Asian tsunami recovery efforts.
