Bon Jovi Teams With Habitat For Humanity
Bon Jovi and Habitat For Humanity build homes in N. Philly.

by Krista Desens

Bon Jovi
PHILADELPHIA, PA  [Monday Nov.7.2005]  /WMQT.com/ -- Bon Jovi recently hooked up with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for four families in North Philadelphia.

According to Bon Jovi's official web site, the band filmed the video for "Who Says You Can't Go Home" at the building site on October 25th and 26th. Bon Jovi pledged the majority of the video's budget from Island Records to help fund the project. Jon Bon Jovi's brother Anthony M. Bongiovi directed the documentary-style clip.

"This collaboration stems from a shared vision," Jon Bon Jovi said in a statement. "The idea of getting personally involved in enacting positive change in your own community just feels right to me."

"Habitat homeowners make a personal investment in their future by way of 'sweat equity' - working on their own houses, and those of others," continued Bon Jovi. "They also repay a no-profit mortgage over time, so this is a commitment, not a hand-out, and I respect that."

The song "Who Says You Can't Go Home" is the second single from Bon Jovi's latest album "Have A Nice Day."
