U2 to visit Australia, New Zealand, S. America, Japan in 06.
DUBLIN, IRELAND [Friday Jan.6.2006] /WMQT.com/ -- This February, U2 launches the fourth leg of its Vertigo Tour in support of the band's latest album "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb."
After completing a sold-out tour of the US and Europe in 2005, U2 is now headed for Australia, New Zealand, South America and Japan.
Dates have already been announced for New Zealand, Australia, Mexico and Argentina, and more dates will be confirmed for South America and Japan, according to U2.com.
Franz Ferdinand is scheduled to open the March 1st and 2nd shows in Buenos Aires, and rapper Kanye West will support U2 on the New Zealand and Australia dates. Additional support acts will be announced.
U2's Vertigo '06 Tour kicks off February 12th from Monterrey, Mexico and, so far, dates have been scheduled through April 1st, when U2 plays Sydney, Australia.
