LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Jan.19.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- Mariah Carey, John Legend and Kanye West are set to perform at this year's Grammy Awards.

The Recording Academy made the official announcement yesterday that Carey, Legend and West will play the 48th Annual Grammy Awards on February 8th in Los Angeles.

Carey, Legend and West topped this year's list of Grammy nominees, scoring eight nominations a piece.

Additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.

The 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards takes place February 8th, 2006, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The event will broadcast live at 8 pm ET / 7 pm CT on CBS.
