Grammy Online Charity Auction
Auction includes items signed by Mariah, Bono, Madonna.

LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Feb.14.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- The 48th Annual Grammy Online Charity Auction is now underway, giving fans a chance to bid on one-of-a-kind items signed by the likes of Bono, Mariah Carey, and Madonna.

One of the unique items on the virtual auctioning block is an original painting of U2 frontman Bono, created by Peter Max and signed by Bono and Max. Bidding for this work of art starts at $3,500.

Autographed pieces of this year's Grammy "Green" carpet, which the artists walked down when arriving at this year's show, are also up for auction. Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly and Mary J. Blige are among those who signed Grammy carpet piece.

Fans can also bid on guitars signed by Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Carlos Santana, System of a Down, Neil Diamond, Pete Townshend, and The Darkness.

In addition, there are autographed items available from Paul McCartney, Aerosmith's Joe Perry, and more.

The 48th Annual Grammy Online Charity Auction runs through February 19th, and proceeds benefit the Grammy Foundation, which sponsors nationwide programs to cultivate the awareness, appreciation and advancement of music in America.
