LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Feb.14.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- R. Kelly, Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani are among the artists nominated for the 20th annual Soul Train Music Awards.

R. Kelly leads the pack with three nominations, including R&B Soul Album for "TP.3 Reloaded," Best Male R&B/Soul Single and the Michael Jackson Award for Best R&B/Soul or Rap Music Video for "Trapped in the Closet (Chapter 1 of 5)," reports Vibe.com. Kelly will also receive a lifetime achievement award.

Mariah Carey and Gwen Stefani each earned two Soul Train nominations, including Best Female R&B/Soul Single. Carey is also up for Best Female R&B/Soul Album, while Stefani received her second nomination in the category of Best R&B/Soul or Rap Dance Cut.

Other artists with two Soul Train nominations include the Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West, Missy Elliott, Keyshia Cole, Charlie Wilson, Bobby Valentino, and John Legend.

Legend -- who won three Grammys last week -- will receive the Sammy Davis Jr. Entertainer of the Year Award.

Destiny's Child and Jamie Foxx will also be presented with lifetime achievement awards during the event.

The Soul Train Music Awards ceremony takes place March 4th at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, California, and airs in syndication from March 11th through March 19th.
