HOLLYWOOD, CA  [Tuesday Feb.14.2006]  /WMQT.com/ -- Kanye West has accepted a new mission -- to make a fresh version of the "Mission: Impossible" theme.

West's spin on the theme will be heard in "Mission: Impossible III," reports RollingStone.com. The latest installment of the action series starring Tom Cruise is set to open in theatres May 5th.

West follows in some interesting footsteps by taking on the "M:I-3" music project. U2's Larry Mullen Jr. and Adam Clayton recorded the theme for the first "Mission: Impossible" movie back in 1996, and Limp Bizkit handled the theme for the second installment in 2000.
