STREAMING PAGE

We’re sorry to have to say this, but we’ve had to stop streaming the signal of Q107-WMQT over wmqt.com.

Why? On March 2, 2007, the U.S. Copyright Royalty Board approved a proposal by SoundExchange, working on behalf of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), which would implement a dramatic increase in royalty rates for streaming audio providers, like wmqt.com.

(The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is the trade group that represents the U.S. music & recording companies.)

The new rates are applicable to all services that stream sound recordings on the Internet, including radio stations like Q107-WMQT, that simulcast their broadcast programming. The new rates represent increases from 300 to 1200 percent!

Because of that, we have discontinued our internet streaming service. We thank you for checking us out on the 'net and we’ll see you at 107.7 FM. . .Q107-WMQT!
